The Wall Pass
Using the sides of the table to pass the ball forward from the 5-men to the 3-man

The wall pass is a very effective pass especially when your opponent has the lane pass blocked. The wall pass works very with combo or singleman passes. However, it takes a lot of practice to master the pass because after the ball comes off the wall, you do not really know where it is going. Also there are several ways to hit the ball with the man. You should become familiar with those variations. The following are a few variations for doing wall passes.

One way to do a wall pass with a singleman is to hit the ball when it is slightly behind the man . Also you want to hit the ball on the side of the ball. This should cause the ball to angle off to the side and in the direction of the wall. If you're doing this but the ball goes straight then try hitting the more on the side. This should do the job. Also when the ball is behind the man there is the need to hit the ball a little harder than when the ball is in front of the ball.

ball is slightly back the ball is slightly back

Another way to do a wall pass with a singleman is to hit the ball when it is slightly in front of the man. Again you want to hit the ball on its side so that the ball will angle off to the side in the direction of the wall. However unlike hitting the ball when it is behind the man, you don't necessarily have to hit it all that hard except for those times when it is called for.

ball is slightly forward the ball is slightly forward

Hitting the ball when it is directly below the rode is okay too. In this case the way you hit the ball is prabably not as crucial, so you may find this way to be more suitable for you. What ever the case may be, I recommend trying out all the variations and then going with what best suits your style of playing.

ball is directly under the rod the ball is directly under the rod

Again, this type of pass requires a lot of practice but when perfected, it can be very deadly and this is why it is still a very popular pass. Again, I highly recommend becoming well informed with the (Rules) of passing before deciding whether or not to follow my advice on how to pass. It should be noted that when doing these types of passes (especially single man passes), that the ball MUST always be in motion (or moving).
